In July 2025 FC Barcelona and Manchester United reached an agreement for the loan of Marcus Rashford, the English striker becoming part of Hansi Flick's squad. 

Born in Manchester, the new Barça forward started his career at local club Fletcher Moss Rangers before being picked up by Manchester United at the age of seven.  After making his way through the youth teams, Rashford made his debut for the first team at the age of 18 in February 2016, scoring twice in a 5-1 win over Midtjylland in a Europa League game. 

Rashford soon became the focus of Manchester United’s attack but after nine and a half seasons with the first team, Rashford spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at fellow Premier League side Aston Villa. Under Spanish coach Unai Emery the forward made 17 appearances, scoring four goals and creating five assists.  

Given an MBE for his community work in helping in the fight against child poverty, Rashford can play anywhere in attack. Right footed, he can take players on and is an excellent finisher,
