FC Barcelona will once again take centre stage at the 69th Ballon d’Or gala. France Football, the magazine that organises this prestigious award, has revealed the 30 male and 30 female players in contention—and among them are several Barça footballers.

The Barça nominees for the Ballon d’Or are: Aitana Bonmatí, Graham Hansen, Patri Guijarro, Ewa Pajor, Claudia Pina, Alexia Putellas, Lewandowski, Pedri, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal.

11 other prizes

the Ballon d’Or ceremony includes more than just the main award. On 22 September, when the ceremony is held in Paris, France Football will present 11 additional prizes:

  • The Kopa Trophy, where Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí, and Vicky López are nominated
  • The Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper, male and female), with Cata Coll among the candidates
  • The Gerd Müller Trophy (top goalscorers)
  • The Johan Cruyff Trophy (best coaches), with Barça’s Hansi Flick in contention
  • The Best Club Awards, where both the Barça men’s and women’s teams are competing
  • And the Socrates Award, which recognises a player’s social contribution.

Once again, FC Barcelona is receiving recognition for an extraordinary 2024/25 season across both its football teams. Hansi Flick’s men and Pere Romeu’s women each secured a domestic treble—league, cup, and super cup. Now, we’ll have to wait until 22 September to find out which Barça names come away with honours at the Théâtre du Châtelet in the French capital.
