D-Link Zaragoza – FC Barcelona Lassa: first three points (5-6)

Barça take a hard fought win away from home following a crazy first half

Barça Lassa have started the Futsal league season with a hard fought 6-5 away win at D-link Zaragoza. The first half was frenetic to say the least with no less than nine goals coming in an eight minute period during the opening quarter of an hour. Marc Carmona’s side rode their luck in the second half but a supreme performance from keeper Cristian allowed them to claim victory in the opening fixture of the campaign.

Ferrao was the man who scored the first goal of the season for the Barça futsal side after just seven minutes of the encounter. Nevertheless, Modrego and then Retamar struck back for the home side to give Zaragoza the lead. The game took on a surreal air with goals coming thick and fast. Lozano levelled things up for Barça and Aicardo then giving them a 3-2 lead with just 11 minutes gone. He then added another to give the blaugranes a two goal lead. Lozano added another to make it 5-2 before Modrego grabbed a goal and then completed his hat trick to make it 5-4 to the blaugranes with just a quarter of an hour gone.

The second half had no chance of living up to the first yet blaugranes nerves were eased when Lin took an opportunity to make it 6-4 to Marc Carmona’s side. Ex Barca player Ortego made 6-5 and gave the visitors a few nervy moments but once again keeper Cristian came to the rescue to help Barça Lassa to their first league win of the campaign.
