FC Barcelona has recorded a total of 10,619 new members during the 2024/25 season. This is the highest figure of the current board’s term and far above the previous three seasons.

When Joan Laporta’s Board of Directors took office, membership sign-ups were opened without restrictions. Following an amendment to the Club Statutes were amended, fully online registration was activated in spring 2022. Since then, new memberships have totalled 6,049 in 2021/22; 6,641 in 2022/23; and 5,710 in 2023/24.

These 10,000-plus new members come in a season when the men’s first team has been playing at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The strong performances under Hansi Flick and the emergence of a new generation of La Masia graduates have undoubtedly fuelled the surge.

Over 140,000

After falling to just over 133,000 last season because of the membership census, Barça’s total has now risen past 140,000. The precise number will be announced ahead of the next Ordinary General Assembly. Following the 2023/24 census, 14,558 members were removed for not updating their details.

7,232 of the new memberships were registered online, and 3,387 in person.

The breakdown by ages is as follows:
Over 15: 7,615 new members
Age 6 to 14: 1,661
Under six years: 1,343
