Toni Cruz passed away today at the age of 78 years old. He was a television producer and the driving force behind Barça One – the Club's audiovisual platform.

Toni Cruz was also a member of La Trinca, a popular Catalan music group that mixed humour with a tremendous amount of political and social satire. Along with members Josep Maria Mainat and Miquel Àngel Pasqual, the group became a musical and artistic phenomenon in Catalonia, filling squares and streets throughout the country, before going on to triumph on television with entertainment programmes that entered the collective memory.

La Trinca were also known for their fondness for FC Barcelona. So much so that they ended up writing several songs dedicated to the Club: in 1974 to celebrate the league title won with Johan Cruyff, called Botifarra de pagès (Farmer's sausage); eleven years later in 1985, Visca tot el diccionari (Long live the dictionary), referring to the league title won with Terry Venables as coach; another song in 1985 called Les alegries del culé (The joys of the Barça fan), and lastly in May 2023, the members of La Trinca wrote a version of Cant dels Adeus (Goodbye song), sung by singer Beth, which was used to bring the Club's celebratory events to an end after the final game at the Spotify Camp Nou before the work to refurbish the stadium began.

Since 2023 he had been leading the Barça Studios project and was the driving force behind the launch of Barça One in April 2024.
